Engineered a Redis caching layer for Gemini API responses using SHA-256 hashed request keys, reducing repeated request latency by up to 98% (interview reports: 2.4s → 46ms; resume PDFs: 22s → 280ms) with graceful fallback when Redis is unavailable. Diagnosed and resolved a cross-site cookie authentication failure between the split frontend-backend deployment (Vercel + Render) by configuring JWT cookies with SameSite=None; Secure attributes (environment-conditional to preserve local dev behavior), root-causing intermittent 401s to the browser’s default cookie-blocking behavior on cross-origin requests. Independently deployed and maintained the production system on Vercel, Render, MongoDB Atlas, and Upstash Redis, resolving CORS and serverless Chromium deployment challenges.
