Engineered FastAPI-based REST APIs for the Reference Sendout module, enabling automated specimen transfer workflows to external reference laboratories and reducing manual processing overhead for the diagnostics team. Designed and deployed an asynchronous CSV generation pipeline using AWS SQS and AWS Lambda, decoupling long-running background tasks from the main API and improving system responsiveness under concurrent load. Containerized and deployed Lambda microservices using Docker and AWS ECR; configured secure, private connectivity to AWS RDS via VPC networking, ensuring data isolation and zero public exposure of the database layer.
