Engineered an e-commerce backend in Node.js/Next.js with TiDB, implementing optimistic locking on concurrent stock updates to eliminate overselling under simultaneous purchase requests. Shipped a coupon management system, an RBAC-gated admin panel, and a PayPal payment integration with Redis-backed retry/failure recovery to keep async payment workflows consistent. Containerized services with Docker and introduced Apache Kafka event streaming and an Apache Doris OLAP store to decouple analytics workloads from the transactional TiDB database; wired a Databricks ETL pipeline into Tableau dashboards. Evaluated open-source libraries to unblock recurring team bottlenecks on data-pipeline tooling, with all changes reviewed by senior engineers before merge.
