Engineered real-time collaborative code editing using Spring STOMP, achieving sub-100ms sync latency. Evaluated WebSockets + CRDT as an alternative, chose STOMP for Version 1 to meet Agile delivery timelines, and documented a complete transition plan to WebSockets + CRDT for future scaling. Integrated Jitsi Meet (open source) directly into the platform as an embedded video calling solution, eliminating third-party API latency and reducing external dependency. Built and secured 8+ RESTful API endpoints with JWT authentication, integrating Judge0 API for live code execution across 60+ programming languages. Wrote Postman test suites covering 10+ API routes; diagnosed and resolved production bugs across backend and frontend layers.
