Worked on real-time, event-driven microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and PostgreSQL to support the Data Platform. Designed and developed a Spring Boot application to onboard new events in the Data Studio UI. Extracted data from raw JSON payloads, dynamically retrieved field names and data types from BigQuery, and automated onboarding workflows using the MVC pattern. Built a Spring Boot utility to clear partitions from PostgreSQL partitioned tables, reducing storage usage by over 200 GB and improving query performance. Collaborated on building and validating data pipelines (Kafka to BigQuery) ensuring low-latency ingestion and high throughput. Contributed to the development and debugging of a real-time segmentation platform and A/B experimentation microservices for data-driven decision-making. Enhanced product quality by creating E2E automation frameworks in Java with JUnit and Cucumber, and conducted API testing with Postman and BloomRPC. Partnered with cross-functional teams to debug, optimize, and performance-test Kafka-based microservices (using Locust), ensuring system scalability under peak load.
