Designed and built a new microservice from scratch, including 8+ RESTful APIs using Spring Data JPA and PostgreSQL for the TCS BaNCS Corporate Actions platform, implementing CRUD workflows with request validation, centralized exception handling, and standardized error responses. Contributed to Angular 13 to 17 migration by refactoring components to use new control flow syntax (@if, @for, @switch), adopting Angular Signals, and aligning codebase with modern RxJS patterns. Architected and implemented an event-driven Kafka pipeline to stream and synchronize transactional data from the internal database to the client's external database, ensuring real-time consistency across both systems. Owned and evolved a pre-built microservice like adding new APIs, refining and correcting existing endpoints, and implementing new validations and business logic as requirements evolved. Identified and resolved 100+ defects across the stack, spanning Angular (component logic, template bindings, service integrations) and Spring Boot (REST APIs, Kafka pipelines, PostgreSQL), in coordination with the QA team to improve reliability and data consistency. Managed Gerrit-based code reviews and CI/CD workflows within an Agile/Scrum delivery model, maintaining consistent code quality and on-time sprint releases.
