Designed an event-driven architecture with 4–5 priority levels and dedicated consumers, enabling priority-based processing and ensuring critical partner events are processed ahead of lower-priority events. Implemented parallel event processing using 10 concurrent workers, enabling the service to sustain high webhook throughput while decoupling event producers from partner delivery. Implemented exponential retry and failure handling, with up to 3 retries and configurable retry intervals starting from 1 minute, improving reliability of webhook delivery. Designed the service as a centralized integration layer, eliminating redundant webhook-management logic previously implemented independently by individual producers and reducing duplicated partner-facing integration points. Built capabilities for partner-level event whitelisting and blacklisting, allowing controlled management of which events can be delivered to individual partners. Designed centralized logging and observability to provide visibility into webhook processing, delivery failures and partner-level issues. Implemented partner-specific authentication and authorization mechanisms to securely deliver events to external systems.
