Designed and developed a centralized Webhook Service processing up to 53M webhook events within a 3-hour window, providing a common event delivery layer for 20+ external partners. Designed an event-driven architecture with 4–5 priority levels and dedicated consumers, enabling priority-based processing and ensuring critical partner events are processed ahead of lower-priority events. Implemented parallel event processing using 10 concurrent workers, enabling the service to sustain high webhook throughput while decoupling event producers from partner delivery. Implemented exponential retry and failure handling, with up to 3 retries and configurable retry intervals starting from 1 minute, improving reliability of webhook delivery. Designed the service as a centralized integration layer, eliminating redundant webhook-management logic previously implemented independently by individual producers and reducing duplicated partner-facing integration points. Built capabilities for partner-level event whitelisting and blacklisting, allowing controlled management of which events can be delivered to individual partners. Designed centralized logging and observability to provide visibility into webhook processing, delivery failures and partner-level issues. Implemented partner-specific authentication and authorization mechanisms to securely deliver events to external systems. Owned frontend architecture and technical design for Partner Hub, delivering 7 workstreams end to end across React/Next.js, APIs and backend services. Delivered the core funding journey from quote through funded advance, now live with 25+ partners and £1M+ in funded volume. Replaced hand-built forms with a configuration-driven UI framework now live across 6 markets, enabling new journeys and jurisdictions to be delivered through configuration rather than duplicated code. Established frontend engineering standards and the Partner Hub design system, while contributing to architecture decisions focused on scalability, reliability, observability and maintainability. Designed and developed Data Beam, a multi-tenant data platform supporting 600+ data pipelines across 100+ backend services. Designed data movement workflows across heterogeneous sources including MySQL, PostgreSQL, CSV, S3, Redshift, Athena and Iceberg, with configurable source-to-destination mappings. Designed the multi-tenant database architecture for pipeline configuration and metadata isolation across users and products. Built the Control Plane responsible for managing pipeline metadata and configurations and integrating with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration. Developed automated pipeline orchestration that generated and managed 600+ Airflow DAGs based on Data Beam metadata, eliminating manual DAG creation and configuration. Built Python-based Airflow scripts for automated pipeline execution, including dynamic destination-table creation based on source and destination metadata. Developed Kafka-based processing using pipeline-specific topics and 5–10 consumers per pipeline, enabling parallel data ingestion and processing. Implemented configurable source-side batching with a maximum batch size of 10,000 records, allowing large datasets to be processed incrementally. Scaled Kafka-based processing to 15M+ rows/hour at peak, with approximately 1M+ rows processed daily across the platform. Built and optimized data-processing workflows that saved 2,000+ engineering hours by automating pipeline creation, configuration and data-transfer workflows. Improved load times by 30% on high-traffic screens through code splitting, list virtualization and memoization.
