Built 15+ RESTful APIs using Node.js/Express.js for attendance, leave, and employee management in a multi-tenant architecture with MySQL data isolation, used by 5+ organizations. Automated attendance status classification (OVERTIME, MISSED_PUNCH, HALF_DAY) via cron-based jobs driven by configurable business rules. Engineered a dynamic Shift & Policy Engine supporting configurable week-offs, alternate schedules, and half-day logic — eliminating hardcoded rule handling. Contributed to an AI-based HR chatbot module, designing the API flows and data handling for policy and leave queries. Delivered real-time notifications using Socket.io and built reporting APIs for on-demand PDF and Excel generation. Hardened backend APIs with JWT authentication, RBAC, rate limiting, and middleware-level security protections.
