About
A recent General Assembly bootcamp graduate seeking a first role in software engineering. Having studied digital media across two degrees, I developed a strong theoretical grounding in the digital landscape and wanted to complement this with practical, hands-on technical skills, which led me to retrain as a software engineer following a career break for medical reasons. During the bootcamp I built multiple full-stack applications using JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, and Django, developing responsive web applications, RESTful APIs, and database-driven systems, often under significant time pressure. Since completing the programme, I have remained focused on the digital space, continuing to develop my skills and staying current with emerging trends in web development and artificial intelligence and volunteering in two digital support roles. My background in marketing and media has equipped me with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to diverse stakeholders, and I am passionate about building well-crafted, user-centred products that solve real problems.
