Architected a secure, self-hosted private cloud storage platform combining traditional file management with AI-powered document understanding, inspired by tools such as Google Drive and NotebookLLM. Designed a modular service architecture separating frontend (Bootstrap, JavaScript), backend (FastAPI), object storage (MinIO), relational metadata storage (PostgreSQL), and an AI layer (Ollama, Qdrant). Implemented session-based authentication with role-based access control, per-user storage quotas, and secure file ownership verification. Built a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline enabling semantic search, AI-based document summarization, and natural-language 'ask your documents' chat. Deployed the full stack via Docker Compose on Linux with LAN/remote access, file preview support, an admin dashboard, and a responsive, Android WebView-compatible UI.
