Developed Backend for Frontend (BFF) services in Node.js and Express.js for our PWAs, implementing customer-level session management with MySQL, Redis caching, and REST APIs, including token lifecycle, validation, timeout handling, and shared authentication across multiple fintech applications. Redesigned session architecture from account-level to customer-level sessions using centralized token handling and shared state, reducing redundant authentication API calls by ~25–30%. Extracted and modularized session logic into a shared NPM library, reducing code duplication by ~40% across 3 applications and improving maintainability. Investigated and resolved bank application-security requirements for the PWAs, configuring CSP, CORS, HSTS, and security response headers through AWS Amplify and adding Clear-Site-Data handling on logout. Ran JMeter load, spike, and stress tests on the NCB PWA (up to ~82,000 HTTP calls per run), analysing HTTP 500/504 failures in session-token and customer-benefit APIs and shared-database bottlenecks. Led a team of 3 engineers to build a Smart Benefit Engine for NCB (Vietnam), enabling milestone-based benefit tracking and voucher lifecycle management across user journeys. Designed and implemented multi-card support flow, enabling seamless switching between multiple co-branded credit cards within a unified interface.
