Collaborated with DIAT on the E-Nose project, leading both frontend and backend development for a software-integrated hardware system used for real-time gas sensing. Developed and deployed a full-stack MERN-based application for research and development use. Built secure REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js, implementing encrypted login and role-based access control. Developed a custom data storage system that writes and manages records in local Excel files. Added real-time data handling using Socket.IO to stream sensor readings from the microcontroller to the backend and frontend. Built an interactive data-visualization dashboard using Chart.js to display multiple sensor outputs, gas-level variations, and historical trends in real time. Developed reusable React components, efficient state management logic, and optimized rendering for continuous real-time updates. Integrated Socket.IO on the client side for real-time streaming and live data visualization without page reloads. Packaged the entire system as a native desktop application using Electron. Conducted multiple field trials to test sensor accuracy using different gases and VOCs.
