Led the end-to-end migration of a production Spring Boot microservice from Java 8 to Java 17, using OpenRewrite to modernize REST APIs and supporting Docker deployments, canary releases, New Relic monitoring, and production RCA across Platform, QA, Infrastructure, and Product teams. Optimized microservice performance, reducing response latency by 68%, memory consumption by 52%, heap usage by 29%, and increasing request handling capacity by 61% on existing hardware. Increased automated test coverage from 18% to 89% (750 → 1,800+ tests) using JUnit while validating production readiness through Docker-based integration testing and REST API verification using Postman. Designed and implemented backend services and UI enhancements including asynchronous download processing, user-specific dashboards, and granular upload tracking to improve Partner Portal scalability and developer workflows. Migrated 9 service integrations from shared SDKs to independent HTTP clients, improving fault isolation, API compatibility, configurable SLAs, maintainability, and overall service reliability.
