Converted Figma designs into responsive React components across bi-weekly sprints, keeping spacing/typography consistent with the design system. Built a shared React component library used across 5+ modules in the platform, which cut down the amount of repeated UI code teams had to write for new features. Added route-based code splitting (React.lazy + Suspense) and lazy loading to bring down initial bundle size and improve first paint on the target devices we tested on. Built a Gantt chart component from scratch with drag-and-drop rescheduling and nested task dependencies, using react-window to keep scrolling smooth on rosters with 10,000+ rows. Was the main frontend developer on ATSM (ATC Staff Management System) — set up the Redux Toolkit state structure, including async thunks with proper error handling, and built out the shift scheduling screens. Used React.memo and useMemo to fix re-render issues on the large data grids, confirmed with React DevTools Profiler. Wrote the Node.js + Express.js REST endpoints for shift scheduling and roster management, with JWT-protected routes and MongoDB for storage. Wrote Jest + React Testing Library tests for the rostering flows — helped catch a fair number of regressions before QA picked them up. Built a theme configuration setup so styling changes could be made from one place instead of touching multiple components. Reviewed PRs from junior developers and gave feedback on component structure and state management patterns.
