Cleaned and validated a 5,000-row D-Mart retail sales dataset (15 attributes, FY 2024–25) — removed duplicates, resolved missing values, and standardised labels across 5 product categories and 7 states, achieving 100% data integrity before analysis. Designed a 9-Pivot-Table Excel dashboard with KPI scorecards, dynamic slicers, and bar / line / doughnut charts — reporting ₹63.96L in total sales, ₹13.99L profit, and 21.87% margin with real-time drill-down by category, region, and payment mode. Built a Power BI dashboard with 4 KPI cards and 5 interactive visuals (clustered bar, line trend, doughnut, matrix) with year / quarter / month / state slicer filtering; cross-validated all KPIs against Excel Pivot Table and SQL query outputs. Wrote 40 SQL queries across 8 analytical domains — sales totals, profit rankings, product performance, regional analysis, customer segmentation, and monthly time-series — using SELECT, JOINs, GROUP BY, and aggregate functions. Surfaced 6 business insights: Oct–Nov festive season drove 3× average monthly revenue (32% of annual sales); Fashion led margins at 33% vs. Grocery’s 14.6%; Maharashtra contributed 32% of total revenue; Regular customers generated 65% of all sales.
