Developed and maintained REST APIs and microservices in Python/FastAPI with Pydantic v2 request/response validation, over a 13-table relational schema supporting a full claim lifecycle (Admission, Pre-Authorisation, Discharge) within a five-layer service architecture. Designed and evolved relational schemas in PostgreSQL/MariaDB using SQLAlchemy and Alembic migrations; added indexing and query tuning that reduced endpoint response latency 20%. Implemented asynchronous processing pipelines with Celery and Redis so long-running jobs execute in background workers with retries and idempotent task design, keeping API response times flat under load. Integrated third-party and enterprise APIs hospital management platforms across six branches, Gmail API, and external model providers handling credential/auth setup, paginated JSON retrieval, bulk file downloads, and retry/failure handling. Contributed to application reliability and security: input validation, authentication hardening, tenant isolation, rate limiting, and caching, prioritised with senior engineers ahead of pilot rollout.
