Operationalized and secured over 200 Windows Servers through implementing CIS benchmarks, hardening policies and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to provide and uphold an enterprise's strong security stance. Mitigated 95% of Windows-specific vulnerabilities through periodic patch cycles, CVE remediation and closure of critical findings in a timely fashion from internal vulnerability scans. Incorporate integrated event logs of Windows into central SIEM systems (Qualys Agent, Microsoft Sentinel) to enable automation of correlation rules and live alerting. Significant Windows event IDs (4624, 4625, 4672, 4688, etc.) were monitored and correlated to identify attempts at brute force, unauthorized access, and lateral movement. Solved over 50 Windows-related events monthly —from failed logons to endpoint anomalies —reducing Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Respond (MTTR). Worked with SOC and compliance groups to ensure safe configurations of Active Directory, administer privileged access and provide support for ISO 27001 and internal audit needs. Enforced endpoint policies through GPOs (USB control, password policy, restrictive script control) to minimize insider and malware threats.
