Junior Cyber Security Analyst - Remote (India)

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network traffic and system logs for unusual activities or security breaches. Assist in incident detection, response, and recovery processes. Conduct vulnerability assessments and help implement corrective measures. Support senior analysts in managing firewalls, antivirus tools, and intrusion detection systems. Maintain and update security documentation and incident reports. Research new cyber threats and stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and tools. Assist in enforcing security policies and procedures across the organization.

Technical Skills Required

Basic knowledge of network security, firewalls, and VPNs. Understanding of Windows, Linux, and cloud security (AWS / Azure preferred). Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Nessus, Splunk, Nmap, or similar. Awareness of OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001, and cybersecurity frameworks. Knowledge of incident response, malware analysis, and threat intelligence concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field. 0–2 years of experience in an IT security or network support role (internship experience counts). Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (Associate) are a plus.
