Job Description Bizoforce is hiring an experienced Cloud Engineering Lead / Architect (Azure) for a Fortune 500 enterprise client in the USA. The candidate will lead Azure-based modernization initiatives, design cloud-native infrastructure, and enable DevOps automation using Kubernetes (AKS), Azure SQL, and Azure Functions. The role requires technical leadership and hands-on implementation expertise in enterprise-scale cloud transformation projects.

Experience

Minimum 10+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Azure Modernization, and Containerization.

Required Skills

• Microsoft Azure Services (AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Functions) – Mandatory
• Kubernetes Administration & Architecture – Strong hands-on experience
• Oracle-to-Azure SQL migration expertise (Hyperscale / Managed Instance)
• CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / Jenkins / GitHub Actions
• Troubleshooting & Optimization for AKS, networking, and storage components
• FinOps & Cost Governance experience
• Excellent stakeholder communication & leadership abilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of Azure cloud-native infrastructure and microservices architecture.
• Oversee database migration from Oracle on-prem to Azure SQL Hyperscale or Managed Instance.
• Architect, configure, and maintain AKS clusters for high performance and scalability.
• Enable serverless computing via Azure Functions integrated with container workloads.
• Apply Kubernetes best practices for enterprise workloads (Helm, RBAC, HPA, Secrets, ConfigMaps).
• Implement FinOps strategies and cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and development teams to modernize legacy systems.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and compliance within Azure environments.
