Job Description Bizoforce is urgently hiring a GCP GKE Architect / DevOps Lead for an Enterprise-Level Client (Fortune 500).
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GKE, and DevOps automation with strong hands-on experience in Terraform and related tools.
This role requires close collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure cloud solutions. Shortlisted candidates will go through a client evaluation round.

Experience

Minimum 8+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure Automation.

Required Skills

• GCP & GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) – Mandatory
• Terraform – Mandatory
• DevOps Tools & CI/CD Pipelines – Strong hands-on experience required
• Python Scripting – Preferred
• Argo CD – Awareness/working knowledge required
• Cloud Architecture Expertise – Ability to recommend suitable application and resource deployment models
• Strong understanding of GCP Concepts, IAM, Networking, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security Controls, Storage, and Compute
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple application teams for DevOps integration

Detailed Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical consultant and SME for internal engineering, sales, and customer teams to resolve deployment challenges and accelerate GCP adoption
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, focusing on automation and scalability
• Architect and manage GKE environments and other GCP-native services (Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, BigQuery)
• Collaborate with application teams for seamless DevOps integrations and cloud deployments
• Implement and optimize containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Manage traffic flow using Service Mesh (Istio preferred) and global/local load balancing (GTM/LTM)
• Ensure observability using Stackdriver, Prometheus, or OTEL
• Apply FinOps principles for cost optimization and governance
• Support production systems at scale with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 1–5+ years of proven experience with Infrastructure Automation (Terraform)
• 1–5+ years of hands-on work with GCP foundational services (IAM, Networking, Logging, Security)
• Proficiency in at least one Object-Oriented programming language (Java, Go, or Python)
• Strong background in Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience supporting large-scale production systems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new cloud technologies

Must Have

• Expert-level understanding of GCP offerings and foundational components (IAM, Networking, Logging, Security)
• Proven ability in Terraform module development and custom provider creation
