Bizoforce is hiring a SUSE Linux Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise Linux administration, production support, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) environments, handling critical production incidents, and supporting large-scale enterprise systems in a secure and compliant setup. This role is part of a long-term engagement and requires candidates eligible to work on ITAR-compliant projects.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Operations

• Administer and manage SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) environments
• Perform system health checks, monitoring, and capacity planning
• Execute OS patching, kernel upgrades, and vulnerability remediation

Production Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and outages
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
• Troubleshoot OS, infrastructure, and application-level issues

Automation & Infrastructure

• Develop automation scripts using Shell / Python
• Implement configuration management using Ansible
• Improve operational efficiency through automation

Monitoring & Performance

• Monitor systems using tools like Datadog and Dynatrace
• Perform performance tuning and system optimization
• Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure

Security & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards
• Support audit and compliance requirements (ITAR environment)
• Maintain system hardening and access controls

Support & Operations

• Participate in on-call/weekend support rotations
• Support mission-critical enterprise environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams
