Hiring for a Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and PowerShell Specialist

Role Overview

As an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and PowerShell Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts to support various project requirements. You will provide technical support for virtual machines, address connectivity issues, and resolve problems related to Azure-AD authentication and built-in applications. Your expertise in VDI migration, Power Automate, and Intune will be crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

PowerShell Scripting and Automation

Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for various project needs. Create and manage PowerShell Runbooks on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to automate processes and tasks.

Technical Support

Provide Level 2 support for virtual machines, addressing connectivity issues, and resolving problems related to audio, video, and printing. Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from monthly patching and OS auto-upgrades.

Azure and Authentication

Investigate and resolve issues related to Azure Active Directory (Azure-AD) authentication. Support and troubleshoot built-in applications such as Microsoft Edge and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

Application Troubleshooting

Diagnose and address application problems on virtual machines to maintain optimal performance.

VDI Migration

Participate in and support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.

Power Automate and Intune

Utilize Power Automate for process automation and workflow management. Manage and support Intune for device and application management.

Communication and Collaboration

Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders to understand and resolve their technical issues. Work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals and improve IT service delivery.

Qualifications

Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and PowerShell Runbooks, particularly within Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Proficiency in providing Level 2 technical support for virtual machines and related issues. Experience in troubleshooting Azure-AD authentication problems and built-in applications. Familiarity with VDI migration processes and best practices. Solid knowledge of Power Automate and Microsoft Intune. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and team members. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: PowerShell). Experience with additional IT support tools and platforms.
