Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Developer for a contract role from August 2024 to February 2025. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP and will be responsible for remediating custom ABAP code impacted by the conversion from ECC to S/4 HANA. This role involves developing and implementing solutions, ensuring adherence to project schedules, and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.

Roles and Responsibilities

Code Remediation

Identify and remediate custom ABAP code affected by the system conversion from ECC to S/4 HANA. Develop solutions for Brazil NFe (Nota Fiscal Eletrônica) or similar local, legal requirements.

ABAP Development

Utilize SAP ABAP on HANA, including CDS (Core Data Services), OData annotations, and interfaces (Inbound, Outbound). Apply enhancement techniques such as User Exit, Customer Exit, Function Exit, Screen Exit, Menu Exit, Field Exit, BADI (Business Add-Ins), and Advanced Enhancement Techniques. Follow Clean ABAP coding principles to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Technical Expertise

Translate business requirements into technical program specifications. Code, test, and debug programs as required. Participate in design, process, and code reviews with project teams.

Project Management

Ensure adherence to project schedules and provide advance information for escalations. Issue regular status updates to keep stakeholders informed about progress and any potential issues during the remediation process. Be responsible for unit testing and fixing any faults identified during testing.

Mandatory Skills

Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development. Proficiency in SAP ABAP on HANA, including CDS and OData annotations. Experience in developing solutions for Brazil NFe or similar legal requirements.

Desired/Secondary Skills

Additional expertise in SAP ABAP.
