Roles & Responsibilities

Production Support: Handle 24x7 production support, ensuring high availability and uptime of Apigee Edge, Apigee Private Cloud, ApigeeX, and Apigee Hybrid platforms. Individual Contributor: Act as a technical consultant to the support team, resolve issues independently, and ensure smooth API management and deployment. Technical Leadership: As an SME, provide guidance on technical challenges and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Case Resolution: Own and resolve complex technical cases, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Learning and Growth: Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance support and troubleshooting capabilities. Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, ensuring seamless integration and implementation of cloud and API management solutions.

Key Technical Skills

Apigee Knowledge

Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee Private Cloud, ApigeeX, and Apigee Hybrid. Expertise in Admin tasks including setup, upgrades, and architecture.

Cloud Knowledge

Google Cloud expertise, especially in Compute Engine, IAM, Service Accounts, and Roles. Cloud architecture knowledge, especially in GCP. Kubernetes, GKE, Anthos, and ISTIO service mesh. VPC Networking fundamentals including Peering, Shared VPC, Firewall rules, and Service Networking.

Networking and Web Technologies

Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Load Balancing, and analyzing TCP dump and latency analysis. Expertise in web technologies like HTTPS, DNS, TLS, OAuth2.0, Open ID Connect, OpenLDAP.

Databases & Maintenance

Experience in maintaining databases like Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

Tools & Technologies

Proficient in Postman, Apache Benchmark, K6, Grafana, WireShark, and BigQuery.

Programming

Good foundation in writing and understanding basic code in Python, JavaScript, and Java.

Troubleshooting

Strong troubleshooting skills in API Management and API Gateway.

Certifications

Google Cloud Certification (Architect or Developer level) is mandatory.
