The role holder will be responsible for providing overall L3 IBM WAS administration support for the team.
Qualification & Experience
B. Tech / BE 7+ years of relevant experience Delivery of quality, cost-effective infrastructure services in a complex & high availability environment Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment ITIL Certified or strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management disciplines
Skills Required
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge in deploying applications in IBM WAS Monitoring applications, configuring new instances Guiding teams to resolve crisis situations within SLAs Consulting for new projects, functionalities, migrations, upgrades Planning, initiating, and managing special tasks/projects
Analytical Skills
Excellent troubleshooting skills for technical fault isolation and rectification
Process Skills
Resolving service requests with attention to detail, adhering to processes Strong knowledge of ITSM processes
Other Skills
Customer interface experience (managing expectations, negotiating compromise solutions) Good communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment

Roles and Responsibilities
Deployment of EAR & WAR files on WebSphere Application Server and Network Deployment Manager Installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server & Webserver in different environments (Production and DR) Monitoring tasks related to WebSphere Application Server support with IBM (PMR) Coordination with merchants, branches, and core teams Preparing health reports of all sites and keeping stakeholders informed Escalating unresolved issues to higher levels Configuring WebSphere Application Server with Database Setting up JDBC Providers, Data Sources, and Virtual Hosting Planning and implementing Fix Packs, Refresh Packs, and Migration of versions as required Creating Nodes, Clusters, and Cluster Members Generating and implementing SSL certificates Deploying WAC configuration files and verifying deployment status Coordinating DR drills and downtime notifications to customers Preparing RCAs and collaborating with teams for resolution Documenting issues and resolutions Preparing and presenting progress reports to customers Conducting training for users, customers, and teams Mentoring team members on technical problems Ensuring adherence to organizational policies and practices Participating in organizational and unit-level initiatives
