The role involves providing L1/L2 IBM WAS administration support, which includes managing IBM WebSphere Application Server environments, handling deployments, troubleshooting, and coordinating with various teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B. Tech / BE
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
ITIL Certification or strong working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
Skills Required
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of IBM WAS administration. Application deployment in IBM WAS ND. Crisis management and troubleshooting within SLAs.
Analytical Skills
Strong troubleshooting skills for fault isolation and rectification.
Process Skills
Ability to handle service requests and follow detailed processes.
Other Skills
Strong documentation, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deploying WAC configuration files, EAR & WAR files. Coordinating with teams and stakeholders. Monitoring and reporting server/application health. Generating SSL certificates and configuring WebSphere with databases. Monitoring Prod, DR, Preprod, and Dev environments. Troubleshooting, planning, and implementing fixes/migrations. Collaborating with infrastructure teams (UNIX, Windows, Network, etc.). Providing after-hours support.
