Junior Cyber Security Analyst – Remote (India)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support our security operations team. The candidate will assist in monitoring security alerts, identifying potential threats, and helping protect organizational systems and data from cyber attacks. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems and security tools Assist in identifying and analyzing potential security threats and vulnerabilities Support incident response and investigation processes Perform basic vulnerability assessments and security checks Review system logs, firewall logs, and network activity for suspicious behavior Document security incidents and maintain proper reports Work with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and security trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in Cyber Security / Information Security Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Firewalls) Knowledge of common cyber threats such as Malware, Phishing, Ransomware Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.) Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, OpenVAS) Familiarity with cloud security basics (AWS / Azure / GCP) Basic scripting knowledge (Python / Bash)
