Junior Data Analyst – Remote (India)

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work with different teams to collect, clean, organize, and analyze data. You will assist in creating reports and dashboards, monitoring KPIs, identifying trends, and transforming raw data into useful insights that can support business decisions.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Excel, SQL, data visualization, and basic statistics, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and organize data from multiple internal and external sources Clean, transform, and validate datasets before analysis Identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or incorrect data Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc analytical reports Create and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases Use Excel to perform calculations, data analysis, and reporting Monitor business KPIs and performance metrics Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within datasets Support senior analysts with ongoing analytical and reporting projects Perform data quality checks and resolve discrepancies Assist in preparing presentations and summaries for stakeholders Work with business, marketing, sales, finance, operations, and technology teams Translate business requirements into analytical tasks Maintain documentation for datasets, reports, dashboards, and processes Assist in automating repetitive reporting and analytical tasks Present findings in a clear and understandable manner Ensure data confidentiality and follow organizational data-handling policies Complete assigned projects and analytical tasks within agreed timelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or a related field Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant internships or academic projects are encouraged to apply Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel Understanding of Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, charts, lookup functions, filtering, and data manipulation Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL Familiarity with relational databases Basic knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools Understanding of basic statistics and data analysis concepts Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills Excellent attention to detail Good problem-solving and research abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote teams Good time management and organizational skills
