Junior Web Developer – Remote (India)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our growing software development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in web development technologies, an understanding of programming fundamentals, and a passion for building responsive, user-friendly, and high-quality web applications. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers to develop new website features, maintain existing applications, integrate APIs, and resolve technical issues. You will gain practical experience with modern development frameworks, version control systems, and professional software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive websites and web applications. Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional, interactive web pages. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code. Build user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Assist in developing frontend components using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js. Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into web applications. Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless application functionality. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website and application issues. Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability. Ensure compatibility across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes. Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers. Perform basic testing to identify and resolve functional issues. Use Git and GitHub to manage code changes and collaborate with team members. Maintain technical documentation and follow established coding standards. Assist with website updates, deployment activities, and ongoing maintenance. Participate in team meetings and provide updates on development progress. Stay informed about emerging web technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in web development, including internships, freelance work, or academic projects. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js. Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development. Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS. Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON. Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and version control concepts. Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Understanding of website debugging and browser developer tools. Knowledge of fundamental programming concepts and web development principles. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Good communication, collaboration, and time-management skills. Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in a remote team.
