Junior Web Developer – Remote India

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of web development technologies, a willingness to learn, and an interest in building responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers to develop, maintain, and improve websites and web applications. You will assist with implementing website designs, writing clean code, fixing bugs, testing functionality, and ensuring a consistent user experience across different devices and browsers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain websites and web applications under the guidance of senior developers. Write clean, readable, and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. Build responsive web pages for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Convert design mockups and wireframes into functional web interfaces. Assist in implementing website features and user interface components. Support the integration of frontend interfaces with backend services and APIs. Identify, troubleshoot, and fix website bugs and technical issues. Test website functionality, usability, and cross-browser compatibility. Optimize website performance, loading speed, and responsiveness. Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA team members. Use Git and version control tools to manage code changes. Follow coding standards, development guidelines, and project requirements. Participate in code reviews and team meetings. Maintain basic technical documentation for developed features. Stay updated with modern web development technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in web development, including internships or relevant projects. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical knowledge may also be considered. Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development. Familiarity with website layouts, forms, navigation, and interactive elements. Basic understanding of frontend and backend development concepts. Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON is an advantage. Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems. Familiarity with at least one code editor, such as Visual Studio Code. Understanding of website testing, debugging, and browser developer tools. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn new technologies and improve development skills. Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks in a remote environment.
