Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and delivery teams to understand business needs and identify appropriate solutions. The Scrum Master will leverage their technical acumen to provide design alternatives, ask probing questions, and support the team in resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement and Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, and delivery teams to understand business requirements and identify suitable solutions. Product and Code Review: Perform hands-on reviews of product backlogs, designs, code, test scripts, and results to address delivery impediments or product quality issues. Technical Support: Utilize technical expertise to propose design alternatives, ask insightful questions, and assist the team in resolving technical challenges. Performance Tracking: Track and communicate team velocity, financials, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) in relation to the plan and publish progress reports. Risk and Issue Management: Coordinate communications, escalate, and facilitate the resolution of risks, issues, and changes associated with product development initiatives. Decision-Making: Apply judgment and discretion to determine when to escalate issues versus resolving them with the team. Continuous Improvement: Facilitate discussions and look beyond the obvious to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as an Agile Scrum Master with a track record of successfully managing agile projects. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles. Technical acumen with the ability to review and understand product designs, code, and test scripts. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Effective communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to track and communicate team performance metrics and project progress effectively. Experience in risk and issue management, with the ability to facilitate resolutions.

Desired Skills

Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent). Experience with software development and technical background. Knowledge of financial tracking and KPI reporting. Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and tools.
