We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting the organization's networks, systems, and data from cyber threats. This role involves continuous monitoring, analysis of potential threats, and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information. You will collaborate closely with IT and security teams to enhance overall security protocols and response strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Threat Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor networks and systems to detect suspicious activities, potential threats, and security breaches. Incident Response: Investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent future breaches. Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in systems and networks. Security Audits: Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulations by conducting security audits. Security Updates: Install and configure security tools and software, ensuring that all systems and applications are up-to-date with the latest patches. Data Protection: Implement and manage encryption tools, firewalls, and other measures to protect sensitive data. Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and recommended improvements. Collaboration: Work with IT teams to design and implement security architecture that aligns with business goals. Security Awareness Training: Educate employees on security best practices, phishing attacks, and other relevant topics to reduce human error. Research & Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, security technologies, and industry trends to ensure proactive defense strategies.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in cyber security or a related role. Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and vulnerability scanners. Knowledge of cyber threat intelligence and common threat vectors. Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Strong understanding of network protocols and security architectures. Experience in incident response, malware analysis, and digital forensics. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
