Prompt Engineer - Remote (India)

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Prompt Engineer to join our growing AI-focused team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about artificial intelligence, language models (LLMs), and human-computer interaction. As a Prompt Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to craft, test, and optimize high-performing prompts that enable large language models (like GPT-4 and others) to produce accurate, coherent, and contextually relevant outputs for a variety of use cases. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, developers, product managers, and domain experts to ensure our AI solutions are not only functional but also aligned with business goals. This is a fully remote opportunity, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in India.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop effective prompts for various AI/LLM-powered applications. Test and fine-tune prompt structures to achieve desired outcomes across use cases. Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand AI application requirements. Analyze LLM responses for accuracy, coherence, tone, and safety. Develop prompt libraries and maintain documentation for reproducibility and scalability. Collaborate on prompt evaluation methodologies using both human and automated feedback loops. Stay up to date with the latest research and techniques in prompt engineering, NLP, and generative AI.

Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience working with GPT models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.) or other LLMs. Strong command of English (fluency in communication and writing). Ability to understand and break down complex tasks into promptable instructions. Familiarity with prompt chaining, zero-shot, few-shot, and instruction tuning. Experience using platforms like OpenAI Playground, LangChain, or LLM APIs. Understanding of AI safety, hallucination mitigation, and ethical considerations. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills Background in linguistics, creative writing, journalism, or technical writing. Experience working with Python, LangChain, or VectorDBs (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma). Familiarity with tools like Midjourney, DALL·E, or Claude. Prior work in AI product development or UX writing is a plus.
