Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Lead to oversee cloud operations for a secure and compliance-driven infrastructure. This role is ideal for professionals with 8–10 years of hands-on AWS experience, a deep understanding of automation, and expertise in building secure cloud environments. As the AWS Lead, you will manage and optimize AWS services while ensuring compliance and security in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead AWS operations with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and services.

Create, manage, and optimize EC2 instances and AWS resources using native AWS tools and best practices.

Implement and maintain autoscaling, ensuring infrastructure is secure, highly available, and cost-efficient.

Develop and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Provision, manage, and decommission AWS accounts and environments to optimize costs and efficiency.

Perform Linux system administration, including patching, shell scripting, and vulnerability remediation.

Manage and maintain databases such as RDS, Oracle, SQL DB, and Elastic Cache.

Configure and manage S3 bucket policies, KMS keys, and AWS SSO for secure access control.

Design and deploy VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, route tables, and other networking components.

Build and maintain custom AWS AMIs for server provisioning and updates.

Ensure thorough change management by maintaining accurate change logs and following established protocols.

Monitor cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and related monitoring tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IAM, SCPs, networking, cross-account roles, DNS, and other AWS services.

Ensure effective backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures are in place and compliant with best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8–10 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Infrastructure and services.

Strong expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker for automation and infrastructure management.

Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.

Experience with RDS, Oracle, and SQL databases.

In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, security best practices, and service management.

Familiarity with ITAR compliance or other secure environment standards.

US Citizenship required due to security requirements.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Datadog, New Relic, or similar cloud monitoring tools.

Strong documentation and operational discipline.
