Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Backup and Recovery Specialist with deep expertise in Commvault to join our team on a 12-month assignment. The role demands strong technical skills in enterprise backup environments and a working knowledge of Azure implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement backup solutions using Commvault, including configuration, policy creation, CRaaS, air-gap protection, recovery procedures, and performance tuning.

Architect and deploy backup and disaster recovery strategies for Azure workloads leveraging Commvault cloud capabilities.

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Azure migrations—supporting design, planning, and execution of data and workload transitions to Azure.

Oversee end-to-end Commvault operations across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures, ensuring high data availability and integrity.

Collaborate with internal teams to plan and improve enterprise backup and recovery strategies.

Maintain detailed documentation, operational runbooks, and regular reporting related to backup processes.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.

Candidate Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Commvault in large-scale enterprise environments.

Proven track record of working with Azure cloud platforms, especially in backup and migration projects.

Experience managing hybrid IT environments (on-premises and cloud).

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance in backup solutions.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Skills and Qualifications

10+ years of overall IT experience with 6+ years in Commvault.

Expertise in enterprise backup environments, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery.

Strong working experience with Commvault configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Proficient in Azure integration for backup, storage, and migration processes.

Experience in hybrid IT environments (on-prem + cloud).

Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
