Job Description

We are hiring a GCP Network Support Engineer to join an exciting project in Bangalore. This role focuses on providing network support and troubleshooting in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. It is ideal for candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience in IT/network support and those looking to deepen their expertise in cloud networking.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L1/L2 support for network-related incidents and service requests within the GCP environment.

Monitor and manage GCP network infrastructure including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, Cloud NAT, VPNs, and interconnects.

Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, performance degradation, and handle configuration requests related to GCP networking components.

Collaborate with senior engineers to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.

Participate in change management, patching, and incident response procedures to ensure optimal service delivery and infrastructure stability.

Required Skills

1 to 5 years of experience in IT or cloud network support, preferably with GCP or other cloud platforms.

Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking components like VPCs, subnets, Cloud NAT, VPNs, and interconnects.

Familiarity with the GCP Console and CLI for troubleshooting and configuration management.

Good analytical skills, communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues efficiently.

Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices for managing network incidents and changes is a plus.

Nice to Have

GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Networking certification.

Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.

Familiarity with automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for network configuration and management tasks.

Prior experience supporting cloud infrastructure for enterprise-level clients.
