We're Hiring: Lead Consultant – Multi-Cloud (AWS/Azure) & FinOps Expert – Belgium

We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Lead Consultant – Cloud FinOps Champion to join our consulting team in Belgium. This strategic role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in AWS and a strong understanding of cloud cost optimization. You will be responsible for driving FinOps initiatives, optimizing cloud spend, and enabling transparency and accountability across a multi-cloud environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Central FinOps, DevOps, and CloudOps, to implement governance frameworks, develop cost optimization strategies, and ensure efficient cloud resource utilization.

Required Skills

Public Cloud Expertise: AWS (3+ years of hands-on experience); Azure (nice to have)

Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or higher)

Cloud FinOps: Deep knowledge of FinOps principles, cloud cost optimization, and usage analysis

Database Services: Proficiency with RDS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) – including consolidation, tuning, and licensing fundamentals

Compute Services: Experience with EC2 (RedHat, Amazon Linux, Windows) – dedicated hosts, system administration basics, and licensing

Monitoring & Analysis Tools: AWS CloudWatch, Cost and Usage Reports (CUR), QuickSight, Athena (preferred)

Reporting: Strong skills in Power BI and Excel (pivot tables, data modeling, visualization)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage centralized cloud cost governance across a multi-cloud environment (AWS required, Azure preferred)

Act as a strategic liaison between the Central FinOps team and operational teams (DevOps, CloudOps)

Identify, assess, and implement cost optimization opportunities including rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and wastage elimination

Optimize and tune AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and EC2 instances for performance and cost efficiency

Analyze usage patterns and provide actionable insights using AWS analytics tools

Build and maintain custom dashboards and reports to monitor and communicate cloud spend trends

Ensure tagging compliance and track key FinOps KPIs across all cloud resources

Collaborate in defining and executing the FinOps strategy and roadmap

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS in enterprise-scale environments

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or higher

Strong background in cloud financial management, optimization, and governance

Demonstrated experience working with complex and large-scale cloud infrastructures

Solid understanding of licensing models, performance tuning, and system fundamentals

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools including Excel, Power BI, and AWS-native tools
