Developed a full-CRUD blogging platform backend using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MySQL, exposing 26 RESTful APIs across 4 modules – users, posts, categories, and comments. Designed 4 JPA entities with OneToMany, ManyToOne, and ManyToMany relationships (User–Post, Post–Category, Post–Comment, User–Role), ensuring a normalized schema and reliable data persistence. Implemented JWT-based authentication with a custom SecurityFilterChain, token filter, and UserDetailsService, securing all endpoints except public read and registration routes. Enforced request-level data integrity using Bean Validation (@NotBlank, @Size, @Email) and ModelMapper for DTO–entity conversion, preventing invalid data from reaching the persistence layer. Added dynamic pagination and sorting (configurable page size, sort field, sort direction) and keyword-based search to efficiently manage large post datasets. Built full comment management APIs (create, update, delete, retrieve-by-post) alongside CRUD for users, posts, and categories. Implemented a global exception handler with custom exceptions, delivering consistent, field-level API error responses for validation and not-found cases. Built image upload/download for blog posts using MultipartFile handling and a custom file storage service, enabling media-rich content. Integrated the Google Gemini AI API to auto-generate structured, 500-word blog content from a single topic input, exposing a dedicated AI content-generation endpoint. Applied layered architecture (Controller–Service–Repository) with the DTO pattern across all business logic, improving maintainability and testability.
