Collected foreign investment data from banks, mutual funds, and NBFCs, validated and done the compilation. Redesigned data collection by combining 3 separate survey forms into one, after comparing survey formats used across G20 economies - this made the data cleaner and easier to model later. Automated the data compilation process in Python for the new survey format, cutting down manual work and speeding up reporting. Studied Portfolio Investment Position (PIP) data using statistical methods to see if it could also be used for International Investment Position (IIP) estimates, feeding into RBI's external sector statistics.
