Job Title: GCP Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated GCP Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record in supporting cloud infrastructure and services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GCP-related issues. Respond to and resolve incidents, service requests, and support tickets in a timely manner.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

Monitor and manage GCP services, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement and maintain GCP infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.

Automation and Optimization

Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency. Identify and implement optimizations to reduce costs and improve performance.

Security and Compliance

Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for GCP environments. Implement and manage security controls, such as IAM policies, firewalls, and encryption.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on issues, resolutions, and project progress.

Documentation and Training

Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to team members and end-users on GCP-related topics.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of [X] years of experience in cloud support or administration, with a focus on GCP. Strong understanding of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine. Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools, such as Stackdriver. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform). Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting (e.g., DNS, VPN, firewalls). Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Network Engineer). Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
