Job Title: Google Cloud Automation Engineer

Summary: This role focuses on automating server and web service management tasks within Google Cloud. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated solutions for provisioning, modifying, backing up/restoring, and controlling the state of virtual machines and their related services. This automation will power a self-service catalog, enabling streamlined access to these essential functions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for server and web service management hosted on Google Cloud Compute Engine VMs running on Windows. Leverage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform and Ansible to manage and orchestrate GCP resources. Automate tasks such as server provisioning, modification, start/stop, backup/restore, and service management. Develop and maintain a self-service catalog for automated server and service management tasks.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in cloud automation and DevOps practices. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible). Strong proficiency in Terraform Extensive experience with Google Cloud and its core services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, etc.). Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools.

Mandatory Certifications

Google Cloud - Associate Cloud Engineer HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
