Conducted physical benchmarking of automotive metals and polymers using Micro Vickers Hardness Testing, FTIR, Optical Microscopy, and SEM Image Analysis. Performed weld microstructural study on exhaust systems; investigated grain structure and heat-affected zones for material quality validation. Identified case hardening depth through combined hardness profiling and metallographic study; supported engineering validation workflows. Applied FTIR to identify base polymer and coating materials from 20+ vehicles; built material reference library. Conducted optical microscopy for coating thickness measurement of PCBs and Busbars; ensured alignment with OEM specifications. Benchmarked EV battery cells across platforms; researched cell chemistry, separator coatings, electrode materials, and HV battery structural design. Analysed SEM images for microstructural characterization and surface coating evaluation. Led cost reduction initiatives through alternate material analysis; validated substitutes using lab testing and cost-benefit assessment. Validated and consolidated material datasets for backend database upload; performed QC verification and Root Cause Analysis on data deviations. Built Power BI dashboards for material KPI tracking and benchmarking comparison; used Python (Pandas) and SQL for data analysis. Automated Excel reporting workflows with VBA Macros; reduced manual reporting effort by ~50%. Maintained BOM records and participated in M&M activities; supported cross-functional engineering reference analysis.
