StudyShelf began as an e-commerce bookstore and became something more. The core application — product catalogue, search, cart, checkout, and user authentication with route protection — was built entirely from scratch in React.js, with Context API managing global state and localStorage keeping the experience consistent across sessions. Every component was designed to be reusable and maintainable from the start. But what I'm most proud of is what I added after the core was done. I identified that a bookstore for students could genuinely benefit from study tools, so I independently scoped, designed, and built a Pomodoro study timer and a study planner module — features that weren't part of the original plan but made the product meaningfully better. That decision to go beyond the brief is how I try to approach every project.

Eaterido is my most complex project. The core challenge was building a single platform where three completely different types of users — customers, restaurant owners, and delivery partners — each get their own dashboard, their own routes, and their own permissions, without any overlap. I handled that with JWT authentication and role-based access control on the frontend, with protected routes in React Router so users can only access what they're supposed to see. The entire UI is built with reusable React components and Context API for global state — so the codebase stays clean even across three separate user flows. Right now I'm building the backend in Django REST Framework with PostgreSQL, designing the API endpoints and database schema myself, which is teaching me a lot about how the frontend and backend actually communicate at a data level.
